• NEW CHIEF COACH: Basingstoke Bluefins is delighted to confirm the appointment of GRAEME THOMAS as Chief Coach with effect from 17th December 2007. Graeme was Chief Coach with Reading SC from November 2001 to June this year and has coached on the ASA World Class programme for 3 years.
  
• BASINGSTOKE BLUEFINS AGE GROUP GRADED OPEN MEET, JANUARY 5TH/6TH 2008: This level 4 licensed open meet offers swimmer an opportunity to set a qualifying time for the County Championships. Open to boys age 9-14 and girls age 9-13 the two day meet offers the same programme as the HCASA County BAGCAT Championships (with the exception of events of 400m and above).
  The closing date has now passed and entries are being processed. Late entries are currently being accepted.
  Entry forms and the on-line entry system are now available.
• OPEN MEET ONLINE ENTRIES: A list of accepted entries is now available.
• JOIN CARLEIGH TO SWIM THE CHANNEL: Carleigh Hay is challenging members of the competition squad to "swim the channel" in their training session on Monday 17th December. We need every member of the squad to swim as far as they can between 6:45 and 8:15pm. The target is a cumulative distance of at least 22 miles (1408 lengths).
• WINTER CLUB CHAMPIONSHIPS. The 2007 Winter Championships are now completed. Full details and results, including overall age group winners. Photos from the Presentations now available.
• CHRISTMAS BREAK:

  • Return: 5:15pm Wednesday 2nd January.
