Important: Bluefins New Year Meet - January 5th/6th 2013
Posted on 29 Dec 2012 at 12:22 by Mike Lambert (0 user comment)
Entries for this meet have now closed and, unfortunately, the event is oversubscribed. We have been forced to reject swimmers, primarily for health and safety reasons, to prevent overcrowding in the pool hall.
The number of people who want to enter this meet has increased dramatically over the last two years. Unfortunately, our pool has not grown!
In deciding on rejections, we have already assumed that there will be some withdrawals. So, we will not have reserves.
We have had quite a few requests for late entries, time trials and to reconsider rejections. We will look at every request, but unless WE have actually made a mistake, it is unlikely that we will be able to reinstate swims. We cannot make any more space.
We hate having to reject swimmers. Please be assured that, unlike many other clubs, we have not given priority to our own swimmers. Every entry has been considered on the same objective basis.
