Basingstoke Fast Water Meet 2007

Basingstoke Bluefins SC is pleased to present its annual Masters Competition, to be held on Sunday April 22nd at the Aquadrome Pool in Basingstoke.The centre offers a 6 lane, 25 metre pool with uniform depth of 1.8m and anti-turbulence lane ropes. Electronic timing will be used. The pool length has been surveyed for record purposes.

* The timings for the afternoon session will be confirmed when all entries have been received.

Conditions

  1. All ages are as at 31st December 2007.
  2. Combined ages for relay events must not be less than 140 years/200 years as indicated. The 140 years and 200 years relay events may be swum together; do not enter the same swimmers in both events. Swimmers in the 19-24 age group may compete in relays.
  3. Over the top starts will be used.
  4. All entries must be received by the closing date, 17th March 2006. Entries received after that date may be accepted at the discretion of the promoter. Entries must be accompanied by a stamped addressed envelope (at least 8½"x4½”) for the return of entry cards.
  5. In the unlikely event that more entries are received than can be accepted, entries will be processed strictly on a first-come first-served basis. 
  6. If there are six or more swimmers, the six fastest swimmers in each of the youngest five age groups (including seniors) will be seeded together in the last five heats. All other entrants will be arranged into heats according to submitted entry times. Swimmers who do not submit an entry time will swim first.
  7. All events will be decided on the "Heat Declared Winner" system. Medals will be presented to the first, second and third placed swimmer in each age group.
  8. A trophy will be presented to the best visiting club, based on six points for each first place, five points for each second place, four points for each third place and one point for every other swim. Swimmers in the 19-24 age group do not count towards the best visiting club trophy.
  9. Complete results sheets will be available by post on request, price £2.00. Individual results sheets will be available price 10p. Copies of results will be posted on the Bluefins Swimming Club WEB site. (www.swimbluefins.org)
